When I let Gopher out for veggies today, I heard a clicking noise. It wasn't from her mouth, it was like from her walking, so i'm kind of worried. What do you think it is? Also, I inspected her and from what I saw theres nothing wrong, I know just looking at her wont help much but theres no limping or bumps/bulges anywhere on her or anything and she doesnt act in pain. And it only makes the noise sometimes. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hmm im not sure what it could be. The only thing i can think of is it could be her hips/joints clicking. Was she on a solid surface? If so it could have been her nails tapping the floor.

Sometimes in the morning when I walk around my ankles click, it's quite disturbing and not sure why it happens. It just feels like when you click something (e.g. click your knuckles). Might be something like this?

Sometimes in the morning when I walk around my ankles click, it's quite disturbing and not sure why it happens. It just feels like when you click something (e.g. click your knuckles). Might be something like this? that would be the perfectly natural sound of excess gas escaping from your joints. I am double jointed and all my bones click, it doesnt hurt and I dont suffer now, I may have a touch of arthritus later but then its in my family so I was prob destined anyway. Each joint is surrounded by a pocket of liquid and occasionally an air bubble forms, but is released by the joint clicking or snapping. If a joint is damaged the gas is likely to be a reoccuring thing but doesnt cause any pain. Pepper clicks and pops as well, she has elderly joints and is on suppliments to help her through her older years, they reduce the amount of clicking her joints do but again it neither bothers her or hurts I forget the proper terms for the gas and liquids - I certainly wouldnt be able to spell it It could just be her body being a little worn out without causing any issue.

I have known many animals with clicky joints, I didnt want to say it is just this natural phenomonen (sorry spelling bad today) incase its something else, but I also cant see why cavys cant suffer with gassy joints like other mammals do.
