Both my Sows are over 70 days since they have been living with a boar. Should I be concerned that they havent delivered yet?

I was told when they came to me that they were already pregnant so I wasnt in a big rush to separate the boar, he lived with them for 5 days after they were in my care, that was now 71 days ago that he was put alone.

Sows like to keep you waiting. Chances are they'll deliver in the next week. Keep a close eye on them and don't handle them too much so they don't get stressed. Make yourself aware of the signs of labour and signs that they're struggling, just in case, but most likely everything will be fine

I agree with Orlaith. Also, sometimes a sow doesn't catch her first cycle after being placed with the male , which may be the cause of the delay. Good luck and keep us updated!

I have read on the signs of labour and possible complications. They seem ok just very pregnant and Daisy is very large. Clover not as much but she has babies there too. Can feel them and see them moving for a while now. I hope you are right and they are just keeping me waiting. I'll try to be patient.

No I wouldnt worry. As above she may not have taken first time. I have had sows go well over 2 weeks the intial 72 days.
