Is it true that the babies start kicking when the sow is at least 5 weeks pregnant? Just trying to confirm my estimated due date for my sow, based on what I know and what the breeder I got her from knows....

At around 5 weeks you can feel the babies inside,(foetus) they dont really start kicking, teeth grinding ect until week 7 - 9.

Oh jeeze Kayleigh....then she is a lot further along....I started feeling hard kicks the first week of March on the 2nd I believe....So where would you think she is at? I was counting 5 weeks at that point but then thought I was really off.

If you can feel kicks and not just nudges, then i would say 7 weeks along, so another 3 - 5 to go. Sows are usually pregnant around 10 weeks, some go wayyy over some spot on and others under this, All different.
Iv just taken in 4 sows, and the biggest sow is due any day now, id be surprised if she makes it through the night! ( i dont usually condone moving pregnant sows, but this is a one off) Her pelvis is super wide and shes huge!

The pelvis can open and close several times before delivery. Should be in the next day to two!! If movement ect is as obvious as you say. Very exciting isnt it!
