One of my planned rex litters : I thought i would create a post about Rose, my silver agouti rex sow. This will be my first rex litter and im super excited. She was paired with Mr Darcy another silver agouti but both parents carry other colours so Rose could litter not just Silver pups but white, brown ect. (more than likely going to get silver though) She was paired with Darcy as was Crystal but Rose is further on in her pregnancy. She is about 9/10 weeks gone so she is due any day now. But as we all know it could be tonight or it could be the weekend. Sows will be sows She is weighing in at 1688g and looks fabulous. Her pelvis is open too but has been opening and closing for a couple of days. Here she is :    I will keep you all posted with this very exciting and long awaited litter Kayleigh |

Well folks Rose delivered 5 stunning easter sunday babies!! I found them all this morning all clean dry and running about. There are 3 sows and 2 boars.    Im very pleased with Rose, she has done fabulous, this is her first litter and shes done great! Kayleigh |

Yep a busy busy sow! But shes doing fabulous. Seems to be feeding all of them. All five are running about. I can sit watching them for a good hour and still be amazed!

The pups are really quite soft just now. They will harsen up as they grow older. But i love how different they are...yet similar...as odd as that sounds!

Quick update, Sadly i lost 2 of roses pups, they just werent strong enough to fight their brothers for milk. Both pups lost were sows. Im left with 2 boars and a single sow. All doing fabulous and 2 weeks old tomorrow.  Kayleigh |

I can't tell you how envious I am! Such a beautiful litter, so sorry you lost pups, nature can be very cruel. I have bred and showed Rex for many years although I scaled down a while ago and then tragically lost both my agouti boars in one year. I am quite decided after seeing your photos that I am in need of a new silver agouti boar, if only I lived nearer you!
