Hello
At first i thoughti had 2 male gps, but it now looks like I have a male and a female! Ive read up quite a lot about gp pregnany etc, but wouldnt mind a bit of a guesstimate on when to expect the bundles of fluff if anyone could possibly help.
Now i did think i saw some 'mating' as soon as i put them together (they were both loners at different pet shops) At the time i just thought it might be a dominace thing, trying to find out whos the boss etc. this was on the 26th may. So she could possibly be 8 weeks? She isnt very big at all! And only looks about 6 weeks from other pics on here. Today i was holding her - i have always only picked her up in something - and i definatly felt a few kicks and movement! I wouldnt say it was strong, but not weak either and when she was running around i thought i saw a kick from the outside. So im thinking she is more 6/7 weeks than 8/9 weeks?
Must admit i am stupidly excited! And she is getting a lot of spoiling! Its going to be a long wait!
Thanks for any help

If you can feel movement then shes at least 6 weeks along. Make sure the two are seperate now.
I wouldnt over handle her either. Plenty of fresh veg and hay and its a lovely waiting game now!!!
Best of luck and keep us posted.
How old is the sow?

Sounds just like what happened to us! But we didn't discover the fact until the pups were born (stillborn, unfortunately). Fingers crossed that all goes well! Newborn pups are so adorable.

If you are feeling then definitely 6 weeks along or more. Like others have said, plenty of veggies for her and separate her from the male. Hopefully all goes well!

Hello
I dont know how to put photos on sorry as ive only got an ipad. Both are shorthaired. Mum is brown, cream and white. Dad is white, black and tan.
Today has been an eventful day! First of all, i weighed astrid and she is 882g. Never done it before so i dont know how much she has put on. Also her tummy is very very active! I think as i had never really looked in the evening before! Theres kicks and rolls! Also, when i was holding her i felt something odd, it was like scratching? Or teeth grinding? It was very strange. I think i also felt the babies heartbeat? It may have been hers though.
So even more excited than before!trying not to camp outside her cage now.

I'm on an iPad too!! Haha..... I got the app photobucket and it works well. You just take a picture with the app and use the IMG Code. (paste it on a post on here)
Lol I'm having a difficult time typing, my guinea pig is climbing all over me....

We had an accidental pregnancy when we bought a couple of girls and one of them was already pregnant! Although a shock it was one of the most exciting times and i loved every moment of it. The worst thing is not knowing the date as i got it wrong by about two weeks and seemed to spend my whole life camped by her cage watching her!! Keep us posted.

She looks like Scout when we thought she was a he, but just a good eater. That pear shape reminds me of how she initially started to fill out.

The waiting game must be a pain!! Can you maybe take a guess on how many?
Of course, we couldn't because it's too hard from pictures. Or maybe just a really good picture..
Hope it all goes well!!

She looks lovely! Very healthy and happy! Just be very careful as she nears her "due" date as any amount of stress can be bad. I would handle only when needed.
My friends sow has aborted her litter tonight, had to rush her to the vets, she had 7 days to go to term. Mother nature can be very cruel. So its best to minimise any possible issues.
Shes not huge though, so may have a week or two to go. Maybe shes only carrying 1-2 pups!
best of luck and do keep us posted!
Its a very exciting time!

No babies yet! I will be posting plenty of pigtures when i can. Shes filling out daily now. I think she may have 2 in there as i saw a kick high up on one side then half a second later a kick high up on the other side. i dont think theres more than that though.
I have heard so many stories that have gone wrong this week. Im getting really anxious and worried, just keep hoping that the next time i look in the cage there will be mum and babies all running around!

Just got to wait and hope!! More good comes out of pregnancies than bad. Aslong as shes getting plenty of fresh veggies daily alongside her hay and pellets and isnt stressed she should do just fine.

Thankyou, she gets plenty of veggies, hay, and around a handful of pellets a day. (the fridge is full of veg, Told my hubby off for eating the cucumber the other day! Lol) im just leaving her in her cage as she is starting to just eat and rest now. Her tummy is wobbling around a lot today! Can see it wobble fron around 8 foot away. (think i need to get out more)

Makes me want to try and have a litter of piggies...but with 2 pairs of boars, I guess I don't dare bring any girlies into the house.

Oh my gosh!! It's so close!! Make sure you dont forget about this post!!!
In her early stages, what did the kicking feel like if you felt anything? On my guinea pig I feel little popping inside of her. I'm breeding her sooo ya.. I just want to know what it feels like in like the early stages of 4-5 weeks or do you not feel anything at all?
Hope they come safely and cutely!!!

She never really liked her tummy being touched, so when i did start feeling something it did feel a bit like movement more than pops etc. Im not sure how many weeks she is or was. I wont forget to update the post! it will be the first thing i do!

At about the 6 week mark you should be able to hold her sides and feel small bumps in her womb area. Its best to wait for the 7-8 week mark to feel movement, kicking ect.
