I was speaking to another breeder yesterday and he was saying that in his opinion, and I tend to agree, the amount of dilation is pretty irrelevant anyway, we have both known sows that have shown no dilation one hour and have had the babies the next, and at the other end of the scale sows that have been dilated for 2 weeks prior to having the babies
