Hi everyone. My name's Kathryn and I'm 38 years old. Married to David (the 'boy-next-door') for 7 years now with one son, Angus, who's six. In the past I've had rabbits, hamsters and grew up with dogs and cats. We had a cat Pugsley, who was a rescue cat, who died aged 7 from Feline Aids, which was awful. I'm currently building a cube cage for a couple of guinea pigs supposedly for Angus but more for me!
I have fibromyalgia so find working quite difficult so spend my day ferrying Angus to school, football, swimming etc, going to the gym as swimming really helps me, DIY, reading, internet and sewing (soft furnishings etc). I also have a couple of dolls houses which I'm furnishing. I relocated with David's job from Nottingham to Lancashire 18 months ago, which despite hating every step of the move and leaving Nottingham, I love it up here! I live in a small village between Preston and Blackburn and am renovating a house (well trying to)!!. If anyone hasn't been to the Ribble Valley, visit!! It's an area I'd never heard of, but is as beautiful as the Lake District, but a lot less crowded. Well worth a visit. We're planning to get our guinea pigs after our hols in summer. I would really like a couple of rabbits as well, but I think guinea pigs are so cute and can't wait to find two!

Hi, my names Rachel (yes another one!!!) I am 16 years old and live in West Sussex. I am not old enough to be married and I have no children. I have 22 animals, 12 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 3 rats, 3 gerbils, a cockatiel and a terrier x. I live with my mum and Dad and I have a older brother who is 19.
I finished my GCSE exams in June and am waiting for my results in August I am then going to college to get a-levels so that I can become a midwife .
My hobbies are my animals, they take up a lot of my time but I wouldn't change that. I used to play the flute but stopped that when I began studying for my exams, although I have stopped taking the exams I still play when I have a moment.

Ok, my name is Annie. I am 16 years old. I live in Columbus, OH and have my whole life. I'm a junior in High School. I live with just my mom; my dad moved out when I was 2 and then they got a divorce with I was just 5 years old. I'm pretty used to it, I see my dad twice a week and whenever I want to see him, my mom has no problem with that so it's actually not that bad, I like it this way. I have always loved animals since the day I was born. My first word was dog and when I was little I would call every small animal dog and every big animal horse. I have had guinea pigs since I was 3 years old and still continue to have them, more of course now. I have had my dog since I was 4 years old and I have been horseback riding since I was 7 years old.We got my dog when I was 4 years old and I can't live a day without him, he's my baby and I love him with all of my heart. His name is Snooky and he is a Shepherd/Terrier/Poodle mix and weighs 50 lbs, he is 12 years old now but he doesn't look like it or act it. We are always getting compliments about how young he acts, don't know if that's good or not, lol. I reMember when the tree guy came and we didn't know he was still there, so we let Snooky outside (he's never on a leash when we take him outside unless he goes on a walk} and he charged and ran at him, not aggressively or anything, and he was barking with his deep bark. The tree guy wasn't really scared but he did back off. It was hilarious though because when Snooky got to formally meet him, they were like best friends. He asked us how old he was and we said 12 and he said that he thought he would be more of a 2 or 4 year old. He does have hip and elbow problems so that sometimes slows him down but his food has some joint nutrients in it and that helps alot. He's really a great dog overall and loves all of the guinea pigs. We had gotten a dog but unfortunately had to take him back due to some problems with the Guinea Pigs and Snooky. We had taken out one of the pigs to introduce him to the piggies and he had nipped at it, didn't break the skin or anything but the piggie kind of squealed and Snooky rushed over and got in between the dog and the guinea pig and put his head low, he barely ever does that. He used to be afraid of my grandma's dog, Henry a Boston Terrier (less than half his size). But one time Henry had bit my mom out of playfulness and it had hurt so my mom said ow and Snooky got up behind her (she was washing dishes) and he put his head down low and let out a little growl and Henry hasn't done it since. I love this dog to death and wouldn't let anything happen to him and I know he thinks the same about me.I have 11 guinea pigs.... Party - A tri-color Abyssinian, 3 years old, very very dominant. He is father to Mae and Tank. He is a real sweetheart when he wants to be, and he is a master escape artist. Mae - She's my baby. She's a dutch tri-color and son of Party and daughter of Lily{RIP). She's a English though and she is one of my sweetest girls ever. She doesn't bite or anything but she will actually lick you. She has been with a couple of litters and have always taken care of the babies along with the mothers of the litters. She has never had a litter herself and she being 3 years will never have one. She's so tubby!! Tank - He is just all around a great pig, he accepts anybody and so sweet. He is Mae's brother (also an English) and Party's son. I love this little white spot he has on the top of his head! lol Bruno - This guy is a trouble-maker. He is Party's grandson and he is the son of Luna(RIP) and Dozer(RIP). He always wants to start something, but he really can be sweet at times, he's got the attitude of Party all the way. He is a English along with his aunt and uncle. Rodney - Bruno's "partner in crime." This is Bruno's cage mate and they have the best time causing trouble, although some of the time it can be with each other, but they always end up having a master plan together. When he squeaks, his ears go back, it's so funny to watch! Also an English. Sunny - This is my sweet guy. I would have to say the best way to describe is a teenage who is high, just kidding. But he has this calmness to him that just reminds me of That's 70s Show where they are all just sitting on the couch high and in this trans. He's very strange! And he also is just recently a new daddy with 2 sons and 2 daughters from Mickey. Mickey - This girl has just had a litter of babies, 2 boys and 2 girls from Sunny. She has been a great mother and so sweet and caring. She is a beautiful coloring too. We got her mom pregnant from a pet store, knowingly by the way, and a few days later Cleo(mother RIP) had Minnie and Mickey, sadly she died a few weeks later from an unknown cause, I think she may have gotten something from the petstore. Butterz, Sammy, Sally, and Honey - Butterz and Sammy are the boys and are both Abyssinian. Sally and Honey are the two girls and are both Englishes. The boys will be going with Sunny with their older and the girls will be staying with mom and will later be joined by Mae. Don't really know a whole lot about their personalities yet, I will soon though! They're only 3 days old and were born on July 18th, 2006. And I have 1 rabbit named Allister. He is a male Rex or mini Rex rabbit. He has the most outgoing personality I have ever seen, he's like a dog!! When we're walking around, he'll walk around your feet in circles and will continue to do so as you walk. He lives with my dad so I still get to see him alot. I forgot what his color is called, but it is black with white ascents around his eyes, belly, ears, chin, and feet. He's a real sweetheart overall with some powerful legs!! I also horseback ride and have been ever since I was 7 years old, which makes that 9 years total. I did English for 7 years and then took a year off and started back up with Western. We have internships at my school every tues and thurs and I did mine at a stable locally called Autumn Rose Farm who coaches the Ohio State University Equestrian Team. They also have a High School Team for Hunt Seat(english) and Western. I started taking me lessons there and got on the Western team and i plan on taking lessons in the future to get back into English riding, I really miss it. I have ridden most of the horses at the stable. My favorites are 20/20, Daisy, and Utah. 20/20 is a horse who came to the stable wth only one eye, he is a great little horse and i love him with all of my heart, I rode him for about 3 months straight and wouldn't have missed a day of it. Daisy is one of the fastest horses at the stable, I love speed and the both of us get along great, both love to go fast, hehe!! Utah is one of the reiners and one of the most smoothest horses to ride at the stables, we also go way back because I worked with her through CHL (Childhood League), a organization for Disabled kids, they came by the stable to ride twice a week and we put them on our most sweetest and calmest horses. I also really want to learn Barrel Racing with horses. So far in the shows I have won 4th, 5th, and 6th, now all I need is 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, lol

Hi everyone! I'm Livie and I'm 13, going on 14 soon. I have 6 guinea pigs at the moment, 2 of which are rescues and I am going to bring back 2 .. possibly 3 after the London Champs show in September. I love guinea pigs to pieces, I don't know how I would survive without them! When I went on a week-long holiday, all I could think about and talk about were the piggies. I occasionaly called up the Holiday Boarding center so they could tell me how they were doing etc! In December, we are moving to Surrey, England. At the moment we are in the outskirts of London. When we move, I will be getting a 8' x 10' or a 6' x 10' (yes, big!) shed and 6-8 lovely roomy hutches for the boars and a big sow pen at the back for the sows. That is when I am going to start breeding Rex, the breed that I love most! My stud is called Kamari Cavies (www.kamaricavies.piczo.com) and we also have a small rescue that runs along side it. It's mainly run by me and my mum and there aren't many piggies who need rescuing were I live so we hardly get any pigs in. I also run a big succesful website called The Cavy Den - www.thecavyden.comI have one dog, who is 6 and called Phoebe. I couldn't ask for a better dog, she is the best!! So sweet, tame, loves the piggies etc! She is a gorgeous yorkie. I also have a cat who we recently rescued - she was a stray we found in our garden. She looks like the cat from Meet the Parents (who is called Jynx) so we named her after the cat in that movie, Jynx. She looks as if she is around a year old, she was very thin and dirty when we found her etc. We have also rescued a dog, called George who was ADORABLE! He was neglected and dumped just outside our house and we rescued him - he is the sweetest little dog, besides from Phoebe (hehe) and he went to live with my Uncle who lives a couple blocks down. We wanted to keep him but my Uncle was looking for the perfect rescue dog and his heart melted for George! My fave colour is purple and aqua. I often go to guinea pig shows, this is how I met my best friends - Josie and Hayley (Haz/Sawda) and we always go to shows together now. My next show is the London Champs - I can't wait!

HI, My name is Breanna, I am married to Delas my husband and it has been 31/2 years...we have a son together Braeden who is 3 and our Daughter Brittney (who has a different dad that lives in Australia) is 7....Delas is her daddy though. I am 26 and was raised in southern california all my life...we live about 10 mins from Disney Land....In about 3 years we plan to move to Portland OR, I am a very outdoorsy person, I like mud and bugs and animals and fishing and all that stuff....so California with its brown trees and brown air and weather that can give you heat stroke just is not for me anymore....it is so crowded here you cant even enjoy taking the kids somewhere fun. NOT to mention the traffic. I am a stay at home mom for now...I used to work, I was a Help desk Tech for a software company for 3 years and before that I had many receptionist jobs.....My husband works now and makes enough so I can stay home with Braeden till he is in school, then I want to work part time. At the moment we have only 2 piggies Brian and Smokey I would love to get a sow and maybe have one litter....as a teenager I had about 25 piggies....I think it was 5 litters, then, I had the room for them all but I live in an apartment right now so I cant.....when we move and have a yard I plan to have more. The boys are both around 2 years old and best friends...I think I will always have piggies in the family, they are the best. My interests right now are painting, I love to paint landscapes, I also like to sew, although my sewing mech is from the 70's and is on the fritz....I like to play with my kids, we love to go to the park in the summer and find frogs and toads. I have a brother and a sister...My sister lives about 10 mins away with her husband and daughter shes 24 and My Brother lives in south carolina with his wife and 3 kids because he is in the air force...he is 28...he goes to Iraq in september (hes a fool I think) lol. My favoret food is Catfish and crab....I love all sea food! My favoret color is Green. I am taking some collage classes and majoring in Geology, I love science, I am also taking Math classes because I am horrible at math. I enjoy Yoga every morning. The beach anything outside is fun (when its not 110 out) I have been all over the US but never outof the country, I have never been on a air plane... I have been on hundereds of road trips accross the us though, thats the most fun ever! Well thats all I can think of for now. I want to add a piture of Me and my family....I hope thats ok.... this is me

Hi everyone! My name is Kelly, I live in Ontario Canada !! It's very cold here right now, lol!!! I just turned 40 and have been married to John for nearly 10 yrs. We have 3 girls and 1 boy. I am the Director of Nursing and Resident Care of a nursing home. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs and as of last night, eleven guinea pigs! Bazooka Joe ( no idea how old he is, we found him at a humane society) Zeus, 10 months old (rescued from a college couple and a jack russell terrier - need I say more Carlos is about a year old, was originally named Carly, hence the new babies born last evening! Our girls or the "ladies" as we call them, are Zoey and Chloe, 1 1/2 yrs and 8 months respectively, Bella and Kiwi (five weeks old silkies - gorgeous little things) and Zuka (age unknown as she was purchased at a pet store, I just couldn't leave her behind when I saw her) Carlos was originally Carly and lived with the ladies for about two months! He and Zuka are now married, lol, according to my daughters. Last evening, Zuka successfully delivered three absolutely gorgeous babies. It was very exciting and scarey! I was very worried something would go wrong as we live no where near any vet who will take care of GP's! The first baby was born not breathing or moving but well, humans and guinea pigs, doesn't seem to matter, nursing skills work on both, lol. A little TLC, some mucus removed from the airways and now Mom and babies are doing very well! I look forward to having people to talk with who don't think I'm crazy because of my pets, lol!

Hi Kelly! I'm also Kelly and I also live in Canada! You guys definitely had a bad winter - us BC'ers did pretty well considering the rest of Canada. Phew - nobody knows how to drive here when it snows! (except me! LOL. I grew up in Nova Scotia)
It's nice to hear about your pets and I'm glad your little baby pigs are all well now. I would have no idea what to do if a baby pig wasn't breathing. Good job.
I only have 3 piggies and all my friends (lovingly) call me the crazy guinea pig lady! I'll take it as a compliment because it stems from how much attention we give them and how many renovations their cages have had! So, I for one, will not think you're crazy for having lots of pets! I love animals and we've just picked out our new schnauzer puppy yesterday -he's only 1 week old today, so 7 more weeks till he can join our crazy life! can't wait!

Hey, Im Kacey. Im 13, 14 in a couple weeks. I currently only have 2 Guinea Pigs, but I love them very much! Their names are Eli and Covalt, and they are 3 months old. I also have 4 horses, 2 mini horses, 3 cats, 1 dog, and some fish! I have been riding for 6 years. I ride English, and I compete all over Alberta, usually in jumping or 3 day events. I also show my two miniature horses! I love to read, and I do some sports, including basketball, badminton, track and field, and of course horseback riding! In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, although between riding in lessons 5 days a week and travelling most weekends to ride, I dont have much free time! The winters here are terrible, and as I type this it is -32oC. I dont do any winter sports except some cross country skiing. I cant wait for summer!!! So... thats me!

Geez, lots of Canadians! Well I live in Canada too, in New Brunswick. I was born in Toronto, then movd to NB when I was like 2. My name's Elizabeth, but I usually go by Bug or Buggy. I'm 19. Not married or anything, and no kids. Yet. I want to adopt when I'm older. For now it's just me and my piggies, I have 3 sows and a boar. Started with two, then it turned out they were both pregnant. I found homes for all the babies and kept one, then I saw a boar online and just fell in love with him. My friends think I'm crazy, but that's ok. ;P I'm a workaholic, everyone's always so surprised when I have a day off (although I'm usually at work on those days anyway for a bit). I'm not the type of person who's ever been able to just sit still and relax, but my piggies are helping me with that! Haha. I love reading and camping and snow <3 and of course my piggies. I really like to sew, but I'm terrible at it! ;P So yeah I think that's all.

Hi I'm Jenny! I used to live in Maine, and now I live in Wisconsin. I have 5 sows and 1 boar. They are the cutest things.. I didn't know guinea pigs existed until I went to the petstore in 2009 looking for a furry friend. I also have 9 hermit crabs.. 5 big ones and 4 small ones. I had the hermies for years before the piggies, but now the pigs steal almost all of my attention I love to read, I can knit/crochet/sew, I love junk food. I also love my car, which has driven me all over this country. I also love to ride my bike. It's a single speed coaster break. And I love yoga. Oh, and shopping for clothes/shoes/purse.
