one of our piggies has a respiratory infection. This started on 8/18, when we noticed symptoms - heavy breathing. Took her to one vet (in Petsmart). They gave her an injection of Baytril, and an oral solutio for 10 days. After 10 days, she was still having problems. I now took her to a vet that specializes in pigs, and she was great! She put her on a cocktail of Baytril, Doxycycline, and aminophylline. Today is her 4th day on the new meds. She is still sounding stuffy, and "heaving" when she inhales/exhales. You can see her body "jerk" with the breaths. She is still eating just fine, and does not seem any worse. my worry is that however, she does not seem to be imporving either. What is the "average" time period to get "better", where her sneezing and respiratory symptoms start regressing?

Sounds like the vet knows what drugs to give, I know URI's are hard to get rid of, if you are worried I would arrange another visit to the vet.

We have recently had an old rex boar with a URI and it took him almost 10 days to start picking up. The vet gave him 10 days antibiotics. We also gave him Avi-pro as well to make sure the gut flora and forna was thriving as well, and also some Sudafed. He did survive, but it took him a few weeks to be back to his normal self again. If however you are still worried about him I would suggest that you have word with your vet again
