My piggies live in my room, and the other night before I went to bed I was petting them and stuff like I always do, but then I noticed that Raiden was being a little weird. It sounded almost like she was coughing or hiccuping? I can't quite describe it, and I didn't have the chance to record it. But she was standing completely still and had her shoulders up. I picked her up to make sure she was alright and I couldn't find anything wrong with her. She only did it for no more than a minute. I kept an eye on her and she didn't do it again and she went back to eating like normal. And then last night the same thing happened. Again, I looked her over and there was still nothing that I could find wrong. Nothing's changed in the past couple of days, and none of the other piggies were around her. I don't really know what she was doing or if I should be worried or if it's something completely normal.

Had she been eating? One of my boys will eat too quickly & sometimes cough which does sound like a hiccup I would keep an eye on her to see if she does do it at a particular time & if you are worried about her take her to see your vet

She was eating the first time, but I don't think she was the second time. Both times it happened late in the night, and I never heard it any other times. She seems completely fine, so I'm not too worried, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something weird. The standing still and having her shoulders up kinda worried me, cuz I didn't know why she was doing it. But she hasn't done it since then, and I've been keeping an eye on her. Maybe it was just a one-time weird thing.

I think I jinxed it. She did it again last night, again as I was going into bed. I thought she was choking or something. It sounds a lot like the noise a cat makes when they have a hairball or something. But it's always right as I'm going into bed, no other times. That's kinda strange.

It might just be a hairball like you describe, piggies groom themselves like cats do. I have some that do a 'coughing' noise sometimes and some that don't. I've been told it is normal so I don't worry about it.
