I was sat with my two guinnea pigs, just stroking them when my black one (midnight) started sniffing my other's ear (whisper) I thought it was just funny or strange but suddenly she sneased. It took me a second to realise that she had sneased out some small white "gunk" I'm not too sure what to call it! Then I saw the bottom corner of her eye (near the nose) seep up a white substance. I had seen it before and tried to warn my mum to take her to the vets but she wouldnt listen. Anyway, the white substance seeped through her eye back where it came about 5 seconds late and she seemed to act normal again but I am getting worried because the first time I saw this happen she just got the eyes but now she sneased out something white. Am I just being silly or is something wrong with her. (They are my first set so I am not too sure as if I had already had a couple of sets) Any help is thanked! -Sam

It sounds like normal piggie mucus from the nose. Sometimes mine will wake up with little white mucus in the corners of their eyes but this wipes away no bother and they are fine. I dont think its anything to worry about.
If you are unsure a vet trip could be done, mine usually charge £5 for a piggie check up so its on too denty on the pocket.

Piggies also secret an especially white substance from their tear-ducts which they use to clean their faces with. You hardly, if ever, see it, though.
