I'm not going to go into the circumstances too much, but basically I wanted to take a trip and can't find a single person to watch my pigs, so I thought I'd take them with me. Turns out buses and trains don't allow pets on board, the only other public transportation I can think of is plane travel.
Now, I'd never EVER agree to put my piggie in cargo hold, but what if I took them onto the cabin with me? Is the air pressure a concern? I'm very weary of doing this, and if it's a real risk I'll just skip out on the trip completely. I'm looking at about a 5 - 6 hour flight.

Wow you cant take piggies on a bus or train!! Thats obsurd!! We can take animals on a bus/train here aslong as they are suitably controlled/caged ect. You wont be able to put the piggies on the plane in the passenger area. health and safety amongst other things. And putting them in the cargo would stress them out far too much and depending on where you are going there are specific laws about importation ect ect. It all gets very complicated.
Have you thought about a small pet boarding place? Try getting in touch with local rescues who can guide you in the right direction.

I agree, I doubt you'd be allowed to bring piggies into the cabin of the plane. Sometimes vets do boarding so you could ask your local one as well.
