Hi there My female piggy has been breathing really deep and quick for sometime now.She is arescue piggy that came from a very smoky house hold. She had a fungal skin infection and has spent the week at the vets with pheomonia..she had a scan of her chest which revealed some infection around her lungs. She is eating and drinking as normal and is now on her 3rd lot of antibiotics. There was some inprovement over the weekend but now the fast breathing and rocking with every breath is back. She is apparently 2.5years old but the vet said she seems a bit older. He said for us to take her back this saturday once medication is finished.I am wondering if this could be due to the fungal skin infection or hay??This started after the skin infection.I am getting worried that this will be a long term issue more than a pheumonia...there is no crusting of the eyes or sneezing. They are kept inside at all times...any advice needed:)

What type of bedding is your piggy on? Pigs can be allergic to some types of shavings so you could switch to newspaper and hay for a few days to see if that solves the problem.
