HELLO PEOPLE PLEASE HELP ME! I have two guinea pigs, Loria and Lexia. However I am still not sure if Lexia is a male or female. The breeder (Who kinda doesn't care about the sex and stuff of pets) Told me they were female!!! I have had them for 5 months. Two weeks ago, Lexia started making this deep bbbbbbbbrrrbrbrbrbrb sound and circling Loria. Today, I put them in their playpen and Lexia started climbing on Loria!! She (OR HE) was making the brbrbrbrbrbbbrbrbbrbbrbbrbrbrb sound the whole time. HELP! IS LORIA GOING TO BE PREGNANT?? and please, if you think she is, WE DON'T HAVE A VET SO WHAT SHOULD WE DO?? Please answer quickly! ~WHEEKYPIG.. I cant even type my name in i'm so worried!

If you're unsure you should separate for now, although rumbling and humping behaviour can also just be dominance. Kayleigh has a thread here to guide you on how to determine the sex if your piggies yourself, and you can also post pictures here for us to help you.

they've been together for 5 months? and this is the first time you've heard them rumbling? I think they're just showing dominance, even sows hump other sows as a show of who's boss. If they've been together that long and you haven't had any babies as yet, I think you're safe.

Kayleigh has a thread here to guide you on how to determine the sex if your piggies yourself, and you can also post pictures here for us to help you. I'm 90% sure that Lexia is male. When i feel 'down there' I feel a vein or something above her.. you know what. When i push on the vein, i swear i can see a little penis poke out. I know she is a male because i can see A HOLE at the top of the... you know what! Loria's private part looks quite different from Lexia... it doesn't have a vein and a penis! It just has a Y shaped thing. Here is what i see: Loria: Y . Lexia: Y umm.... And as for the 5 months thing... i don't know. I got them when they were 3 months. or even 2 months, they could fit in my hand! Lets see... i got them on august 24. that would be... about 4 months. that means they could be 6, 7, or 8 months old. maybe they just weren't intrested in each other when they were young and not able to breed. hmmm.. WHAT SHOULD I DO?? Oh and Lexia rumbles while circling Loria and accasionally she or he will lick Loria's butt. She or he never wants to be dominant, Loria has always been the dominant one! When they run around, Lexia follows Loria EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Okay, I sent my only pic to kayleigh89_@hotmail.co.uk. Please reply soon... Oh and also i have a few questions if its a boy: ~Why didn't they mate yet? ~how long is the gestation period? ~What should i do to care for the babies? ~Should i leave the boars with the dad and sows with the mum? ~What IS BEST for the babies? ~Will Loria die? ~How do you tell for signs of pregnancy? ~ *Important* I DON'T HAVE A VET, SO WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THE MUM AND BABIES TO KEEP THEM SAFE? ??!!!!! Cutiecavies is my only hope. Please.... If Loria dies... MY FACE WILL LOOK WORSE THAN THIS: Even if she does die, i know she will be this: Good luck if you are pregnant, Loria. be safe. And always remember to squeak. ........................ ........................ Okay, is Lexia A BOAR OR A SOW?? Oh and ps. If Lexia's a boy, i am going to name him Luxio.
