Hey:) So I woke up to our second sow having her babies. I actually didn't realize it right away until I saw her cagemate cleaning the baby... Has anyone ever seen that happen? I've had a ton of guinea pig babies born over the years. I've seen an older female guard a younger one and check on them but never have I seen this. Not only did she help her clean the babies, she ate the afterbirths while mom had the next. One of the other babies (2.5 weeks) Is helping clean the new ones too. I'm actually amazed by it

I've probably had about 50 litters born since I started breeding and I've never seen anything like this. And the babies are beyond confident too. They go where they want. They follow the older babies and aren't like normal where they follow mom around everywhere and cry when she leaves. I'm loving it
