Tulip gave birth to three very colorful and beautiful pups Saturday Morning. I have two Pet quality Crested Smooth Coat Tortoiseshell and white(both have incorrect coloring of their crest) One is a Boar the other a Sow and one American Smooth Coat Red and White Boar. I am a bit concerned as these pups are only the size of a full grown Syrian Hamster. To my eye they seem a bit premature. They are all suckling normally, and are following Mom about the 2 X 3 C & C cage like normal too. I removed Pigtunia's pups as they are already 3 1/2 weeks old and were chasing the new pups all over the cage. All of Pigtunia's pups ended up Females so they are all now on their own in their own cage. Pigtunia has been tending the new arrivals along with their Mom. I don't have a scale to weigh these new pups but Poppy's quartet is only 4 days older and their twice the size of Tulips trio. So am I being over concerned or is there a good reason to be concerned?

Aslong as they are feeding and active i wouldnt worry. Some pups are smaller, just keep an eye on them. Lots of veg and hay for everyone.

They seem to stay in the Flannel Forest most of the time but Mom Tulip loves the Forest and most likely birthed the litter in there. If I'm lucky I catch the three pups out and about when Mom gets some hay, or feast on Fresh pulled Dandelion leaves which she loves, loves, loves. Their not losing any but also don't seem to be gaining much either. Mom is drinking more then before birth but I figure that's so her milk is flowing properly and not a problem. No Pigtures yet as I'm letting the pups have 100% Mom time.
