I have been noticing a little noise when Rusty is breathing, it's not a weezing or anything like that. its a very small noise that sounds like after breathing for a while, he plugs up for a split second...almost like a muted popping noise. i wish i could explain it better. but he only sneezes a few times a day which i've read is fairly normal... i have seen him rub his nose a little, but it doesnt look runny, and his eyes look very clear, and he is eating as normal. do you think it is something i should get checked out, or am I being a paranoid mom to my piggy?

Well just for your peace of mine I think I would get him checked over by a vet. He can listen to his chest and decide if he needs any treatment.

Is it a sort of clicking noise Junebug? If it is and he's sneezing I'd get him checked out. I once had a baby boar that kept clicking and sneezing and he had a tiny hay seed in one of his nostrils that could have cause quite a big problem if undetected. It's better to be sure for your own peace of mind.

Sort of... but not really. I wish there was a way for me to explain this noise. It is not a constant noise either, he just does it a few times then he stops for awhile. I also noticed today that the noise comes right before he starts making sounds sometimes. Apparently I get a free check up with the purchase of him, but I am going to go in to the pet store to get his nails clipped tomorrow, and I'm going to see if their expert can tell me anymore about the noise.

good news! I took rusty in to get his shot and I asked her about the noise, and she said that it is a normal noise for him to have.
