Dobby was on my lap, eating a cookie, and she got ahold of a thread and ate it! I noticed it hanging out of her mouth and tried to get it out and she squirmed and wiggled and then the string disappeared. It was cotton and probably a few inches long. I have no idea what to do! It just happened. My boyfriend thinks she'll just poop it out. Help!

It could be dangerous, i haven't heard of it with guineas but with dogs/cats it has usually meant needing an op. I don't want to scare you but i would get a vet's opinion because thread is thin and yet so strong, if it wraps around their intestines etc it can cut right through them. Hopefully i'm being overly dramatic but i would definitely seek professional advice on this. xx

I had a pig that would eat bits of vetbed she never came to any harm but I would keep an eye on your piggy and any change in behaviour I would get her to the vet.

Thank you for the responses. The thread was not strong, like sewing thread, but soft and cottony. I don't know what it was from but she found it on a blanket in my lap, from the laundry I suppose. She's been acting normally but I will keep an eye on her.
