Hey, Im new on this sight, not realy new to piggies, but we just got 3 new baby girls and there way cute and happy, just munching on hay. One of the girls just keeps eating and eating the hay and the veggies i gave them, then we noticed her belly was getting big and her whole body was seeming to get short and wider lol is that ok for her to keep eating like that? And also what we didnt notice about her before we got her was that she kind of sneezes every once in a while and has a tiny bit of crusty on her nose. I dont think she's realy sick because I had another guinea pig a while ago that would get buger stuff on her nose but she was never sick and was realy healthy, so and theres dirty looking stuff on her stomach. Anyway I just want to make sure its nothing serious, because I thought as long as there eating and drinking there fine. So will her sneezing stuff just go away on its own, or is there anything I can do? I dont want to take her to the vets if its just "sniffles" sorry for the long post. And any help is greatly appreciated. ps. Ill post pics after they settle in more.

Hello Im not an expert on guineas but from my experience if a pig is sneezing more than a few times id get them to the vet - both my girls had URIs and needed about a months worth of treatment to clear it up. x

The occasional sneeze is ok but repeated sneezes should be seen by a vet. However hay can be quite dusty I find so if she snuffles into it eating away she may get dust in her nasal passages.
Piggies are made to be bottom heavy so don't worry about her waist line growing a little however could there be a chance that she is pregnant? How long have you had her?

i know it sounds silly but are you 100% sure all three are girls? if you are then she is probably just filling out. but i think it would be wise to check them. xx

If they have been with boars in the shop or at the breeders then it is possibility they could be.
