Hi there everybody, just wanted to give you an update on Neo. As I posted on the other thread, he had started peeing blood again a little bit, so I went ahead and took him into the vet.
It felt to me that he had lost a lot of weight, which for him he cant afford to do cuz he's so small anyway. So I took him in.
First they weighed him, he had only lost .5 ounces, which puts him back at 8 ounces.
He checked him out thoroughly, said his coat looked great, it was still real shiny, he still has a very healthy appetite and drinking water just fine. He even tinkled and pooped for him and there was no blood.
He said he didnt want to give him an anti-biotic at this point with no blood showing because he was afraid it would make him worse in stopping his appetite (he explained it better than I can).
Anyway, he told me not to beat myself up that Im doing an excellent job with him and that he thinks it might have been just a small episode with cystitis but he didnt seem to be in pain.
He did give him an injection of Vitamin C because of the weight loss I guess, trimmed his nails for me and gave him one heck of a good scratching under his chin which he so loved that it brought his front feet up off the table LOL
Me thinks he likes the vet hehee
I am going to the store today to get him some cabbage and kale and see what he thinks of that. And still watching him like a hawk, he said if the blood comes back to bring him in and he will do what we gotta do to get it stopped and get him back to his old self.
