Hi all iv decided after alot of thought and organisation that im going to breed Squeak. I have everything planned and have looked at the pro's and con's so im well aware of things that may or may not go wrong. My good friend has a proven boar and ill be putting Squeak with him next week. My question is when she is pregnant i will be putting her back with my other two in their large c & c cage so she isnt alone, When she is near her due date should i take her out and put her in a cage by herself or leave her with the other sows? Im aware she may get stressed being alone and i obviously dont want this to happen, but im unsure how the other two will react to the babies. Iv been told that some sows may get jealous and bully the babies but then other people have told me it will be fine. I just want your experienced opinions. Thanks in advance

I would leave her with the others she will be happier that way, make sure that when the babies are born they cant get out of the gaps in the c&c though Good luck

When we had our babies we baby-proofed the cage with one of these hamster runs. They're totally useless for letting your hamster or piggy play in as they figure out how to escape pretty quickly, but we pulled all the pieces apart and cable-tied them onto the c&c so the babies couldn't escape.

Thanks I had hoped they would be fine togeather as theres much more space in the cage. Yes baby piggie proofing the cage is something i have been trying to work out. I can raise the sides of the lino im using and i hope thatll work.
