Molly has three growths around her mouth...
one is on her neck, and there are two either side of her mouth. when you look in her mouth you can see them protruding out of her cheeks (inside her mouth) and there is what LOOKS like a scab on each of them... it could be something else but it is hard and dark in colour.
any ideas anyone? x

It could be several things, an abcess, wounds caused by damaged teeth, or something else. I would take her to the vet to get them checked out. Is it effecting her eating?

I was going to say it could be abcesses caused by either teeth or sharp pieces of hay. I would get her looked at by a vet because he will be able to lance them if need be and give her some antibiotics.

WOOP!! Molly is a clever girl... the abcess on her left cheek popped last night all by itself - my brother noticed that she was looking very sad and shivering in a corner so he got her out of the run and gave her to me and she had the pus dripping down her face. I flushed it out with warm salt water and she didn't squeak, squeal OR try to bite me I've been giving her some baytril so that helped do you think? She's on her 4th dose now i'm just giving her 3 doses 0.2 ml every 4 hours. just going to give her it today and tomorrow. I checked on her this morning and the one on her right cheek had burst too. I'm really proud of her - how she's reacted etc...
