my guinea pig just frantically ran around his cage, even trying to climb...i've never seen him do it the way he did. now he's just sitting in a corner, not responding very much to noises or even food i've given him. is something wrong, or did he just use all of his energy quickly. his eyes look a little bigger as well.

Could something have startled him? It sounds like something frightened him!! Is he a young piggie? He could have been expelling excess energy, if hes never done this before then he may well be frightened! I hope hes ok

I agree with Kayleigh, Sounds like something startled him. Guinea pigs are preyed on by birds (amongst other animals) in the wild and because birds can only recognise prey when it moves, they freeze as a defense mechanism when they're scared. My Bubble hates the hoover and will practically climb the walls to run away from it.
I hope everything's OK with your piggie now.

Sounds as if he may have been frightened by something. The cavies in our shed do this if there is a noise that they don't understand.
Does he live on his own. Guineapigs who live a lonely life can become bored and frustrated. They like the company of one of their own kind and it is not fair to keep them alone. I presume that he is a boar and would suggest that he has a baby boar for company and I am sure you would see the difference in him.
