Whilst trimming the boys toenails last night I noticed Dexter had 2 flaps of skin on the bottom of one of his paws. What are these, and how can I treat them? Thanks!

Yep they sound like spurs. Be really careful not to make them bleed as it will hurt. I had to clip one off my old boar and he winced even though i was no were near the pad itself.

Yeah my pigs get these sometimes. Make sure you dont cut too near the pad though or they will bleed.

After lots of wriggling from naughty Dexter, I managed to clip the spurs off no problem. I think he may have had ticklish feet
