For about 3 weeks Talla has been crying when she uses the bathroom. I didnt think much of it until last week. I called the vet and got her an appointment but they couldnt get her in until today. I've kept a close eye on her. When I got home from school today there was little balls in her cage so I'm guessing she passed the stones. Dr. King did some xrays and didnt see anymore stones (thankfully!) but its a possibility theres still more that arent showing up. She took a urine sample and said she's got high levels of blood and protein in it. I had to laugh because I dont know how the vet did it...Talla like to use her fur as a mop. She has some antibiotic and when its gone I'm suppose to take a urine sample to be tested again. She's still crying a bit tonight but nothing like she was. She's so good taking her medicine..she loves her chin scratched so I scratch it, she sticks her head up, opens her mouth, and I stick it in! I was REALLY worried about her but I'm so thankful that she's ok and it wasnt anything more.

It is good that she has passed the stone, there could be smaller ones in the form of crystals that might not show up as they are small but her urethra might still be tender from passing the stone so that could be why she is still uncomfortable when she pees.
Try not to give her any veg high in calcium in her diet. If you feed Parsley or Kale stop as these are both high in calcium which is thought to cause the stones to form.

Also spinach should only be fed sparingly for the same reason. I hope i don't offend or upset you by saying this but as a general message for everyone, please don't ignore symptoms for this long. Piggies can go downhill very quickly and any sign that something is not quite right should be checked out as quickly as possible.
