my friend had a male gp and he developed a lump under his eye (i don't have any pics soz) the vet didn't know what it was and the gp later died any idea what this was and did he die from it?

could have been pea eye, or a stye neither would directly kill the piggy, pea eye (also known as fatty eye,or cherry eye) is simply a fatty lump,and would not cause death, a stye is like humans get,and although im not sure piggies can get them, it isnt fatal to humans and is easily treated with ointment. of course any new lumps or bumps should always be checked by a vet if you are unsure about them, i know its too late for your friend piggy, but just incase others read this. xx

thanks luvcat22, maybe what her piggy had was curable but unfortunatly the vet she went to didn't know what it was, maybe she should have tried some other vets...

as said before the pig wasa friends so i don't have any pics sorry! but the lump i suppose wasn't really on the eye is was more maybe on the eyelid under the eye at the front but i don't know really i just wondered cos he was a special pig and nobody knew what it was hope my new explanation helps!
