When the vet said that Jack (RIP) had arthritis I was given Metacam for him. A small daily dose of vitamin c can be beneficial and you can give Potters Tabritis tablets at a rate of one tablet per day. I hope that helps.

Thank you Amy, I went out and brought some potters Tabritis yesterday and crushed a tablet up and gave her half mixed with water and syringed it to her, she wasnt too keen to say the least, but Im going to try that and I gave her some metacam too, I dont suppose theres much you can do really only try and ease the pain a little.

No probs, I hope it eases the pain for her. There isn't really much you can do with arthritis but what I've mentioned is what I was advised to give to Jack. Oh, I was also told to give him plenty of exercise to keep his muscles working. He used to love running up and down our landing, even if he did bunny hop, bless him!

Yes I will, I was going to give it a week on the tabritis, and if theres no improvement have the vets opinion, I fear the worst though and I couldnt bare it if I lost her

(((((hugs))))) I know how you feel, it broke my heart when Jack died and I still miss him terribly, and now with Purdy being only a few months away from turning eight I constantly worry about her.
I have my fingers crossed that Honey will be alright. xxx

I also worry about Honey constantly, I also know she wont live forever, but I keep trying, I know 6 is a good age, but Im keeping my fingers crossed she will be ok.

That's great news about Honey. I hope she continues to improve. I think that no matter what their age, we'll keep doing our best to give them as long and as happy a life as we can.

Now Ive read that Im not sure, cause she is getting smaller and losing weight, not much but I just assumed that was her age, she still eats fine and begs just like before, if it is OD theres not much I can do for her only pain relief, and monitor her, I will take her to the vet to get an opinion but what will they be able to do if it is OD? Thank you Dawn for pointing that out, never thought of that one, but she is doing alot better on the Tabritis.
