Hello to everyone,
I have a question regarding one of my piggies, whose stomach seems to be larger than it should be. She's about 1y3m old, has a impressive appetite and likes to run around, so otherwise she appears healthy.
Her diet comprises mainly Timothy Hay and vegetables supplemented with limited quantities of GP pellets.
Based on the photos does it look as though there may be a more serious problem than just over-eating?
Many thanks in advance.

I shoudl have pointed out that all 4 of my piggies are female, ruling out that possibility!

If I have a pig that gets bloated I give them buscopan. It is available from a chemist or supermarket (I get mine at Asda) I chop it into quarters with my knife and give a quarter 4 times a day until they are better. www.buscopan.co.uk

I took her to a vet who said that she was simply overweight. From the photos does it look as though her distended stomach is a result of over-eating, gas or could there be a more serious problem?
Thanks again.

i cant see the pictures, but some veggies can cause bloating, i dont know if you feed much broccolli,or cabbage but if you do then hold off them for a while aswell as giving the buscopan and see if it helps. x
