Wasnt sure where to put this. The other day I put my piggies back out in the shed. I put baby Arthur (about 7/8 weeks old) in with Teddy who is the more docile of the boars. Everything was ok no teeth chattering etc. just the normal sniffing and trying to mount each other. I suddenly noticed blood, and when I picked up arthur it was dripping from beneath him, when I took a closer look it was coming from his willie area and on the end of his willie was what looked like a long piece of hairy skin, I popped out his willie to have a closer look and the area started to bleed again and a covering of skin came away. His willie stopped bleeding and I am checking it and everything seems ok - has anyone else had a problem like this with a baby or know what it could be - it could only have happened when he was trying to mount Teddy and there was absolutely no teeth contact or trouble between them - I did however decide to put Arthur in with my old girl Mabel.

Hmmm that is a bit strange! Sorry I can't offer any advice, how is his boar-parts today? Seems ok now - i did get an answer from someone on another forum who said if he was trying to mount the other boar the wrong end he could have got his willie nipped by the other boar- makes sense I suppose

We had that when we had our first 2 Guineas, they were both Boars and were kept in a small cage
One day one tried to mount the other and got him self bitten on his fifth leg ouch!
He ended up having to have it amputate ouch ouch! (all male members of this forum are now wincing in unison)
He lived for a few years after without to much problem until the local PDSA decided he needed his teeth clipping and this was long before we knew about these things and he died under anesthetic.
