Afternoon everyone, Iv noticed Sookie has developed a small lump on her eye, if you move the eyelid to the sides this pink lump spreads a fair bit across her eye. I think its cherry eye but iv never had a piggie who has had this. What do you think??  THanks Kayleigh |

Yes that looks like cherry eye. I don't think there is treatment for it. Chances are it won't bother her but if she starts to rub at it or her whole eye gets inflamed you could take her to a vet to see what they suggest. From what i've read though there isn't much they can do but it's not considered serious.

Just wanted my suspicion confirmed. It doesnt seem to be bothering her yet! Ill keep an eye on her and see how things go.

my friends piggy had an eye like that
the vet said there was nothing they could do
but it shouldn't affect them much

Im hoping it doenst effect her too much. She seems to be ok with it at the moment.
