Gizmo's eye has been like this for quite some time, we have taken him to see the vet twice so far, and can not seem to figure out what it is.... He already has red eyes, but the white around his right eye red, and he has a film coming out, I've read that its the natural saline in the eye that keeps it moist, but I'm not sure. the first time we took him to the vet he had a head tilt, so the vet gave us bactrim, and neo-poly-bac a ophthalmic ointment, the second we took him, he had and abscess above his eye, the vet lanced it and again gave us bactrim, and animax ointment the lump went away however his eye is still abnormal. He eats and drinks normally, and everything seems okay with him, except he itches his eye quite abit. I read about blocked tear ducts? is there any advice anyone can give me as to what this is and how we can get it fixed? I know it can't be comfortable for the guy....Thanks

I'm not sure about blocked tear ducts, I've never heard about them. I've only had two pigs with sore eyes: one had conjunctivitis and got treated with fucithalmic ointment and the other had a scrape on her cornea and was treated with gentamycin and a lubricant to help with the pain. You might be able to ask your vet about those meds.
