My 2 boys are about 10 weeks old. Iv noticed there are some poops that are long and kinda moon shaped if you will. Iv had a few guinea pigs growing up and never remember seening poops like these, kinda odd to me. Anyone know if this is ok or, Maybe a sign one of them is lacking something in their diet? I noticed this from the very begining when i brought him home and the moon shaped poops were in the box i transported them in. I dont know wich one is doing it. Also another question. Is there such thing as feeding to much Veggies? I give them 2 cups of romain, 1/2 a green bell pepper,2 baby carrots each and a few broccoli flowerettes one a day( wich they dont seem to be into much). I tryed arugula and they didnt touch it . Once a week i also give them a few slices of apple a couple grapes and a slice of orange.

I once saw this kind of poo from one of my girls (can't reMember who now) for a couple days and I was wondering what was going on, but then it stopped. So I never found out what was causing it and if it was normal.
As for the veggies, I heard it wasn't recommened to give broccoli everyday because it can make them gassy. And I know they should only have fruit occassionally because the acid can cause sores on their mouth and I think they may be too sugary. Out of the list you have there I think the green pepper is the only one with a good amount of vitamin C (although I'm not sure about broccoli). Have you tried parsley and cilantro? My girls LOVE it!They also really like kale (not sure if that has vitamin C, but it's definitely good for them). So, you may want to try and change it up a bit, maybe add a little more variety and see if anything changes with their poo.
It's hard when something doesn't seem quite right with these little ones - such a worry. Hopefully this is nothing too serious and maybe someone else on here knows a bit more than I do!

Im no expert on piggie poop but i dont see why it would be normal. What colour/consistancy is it? Often my piggies do a weird shaped one every now and again but they never seem ill at all so ive always left it at that. As for the vegies, I suppose there is such thing as feeding too many vegies but they do stop when they are full. it is important to make sure that there is enough vitiamin C in their diet as they cannot produce it themsleves but by the sound of it you are giving them enough. i feed mine less vegies than that but they have outside hutches in which they stay in during the day and have all the grass they want available. Im sorry this is a bit of a blabber but i hope some of it is of use ... Tasha

ur right about the broccoli. Iv since stopped giving it everyday and only offer it once or twice a week. Im goin to pick up some cilantro tonight and see how that fares with them. The poops are the same consistancy as the "normal" shapped ones just "banana" shaped lol. someone told me that "banana" shape is normal but i dunno. They are both very happy and seem to be very healthy. I dont think this is an issure for a vet tho.
