I'm considering getting my boar neutered, because I don't want any pregnant piggies! ;P I'm gonna call the vets in the area, ask them about a million questions, and if I find one that I trust and who's had a good record with neutering, that's what I'm gonna do. If I can't, I'll just find him another boar. But I was wondering, what bedding is best while they're healing up? Right now he's on wood shavings for probably another week (previous owners gave me the rest of the bag so I'm just using it up) then I'm gonna switch him to Boxo like the rest of my piggies. Is that fine or should I put him on fleece or something until he's all healed? I know it's early to be asking, I haven't even decided if he's gonna be neutered yet, but I figured I shoudl ask anyway.

I would suggest housing him on a fleece/towel bedding or newspaper. It depends what you have available. You want the wound to stay clean so loose bedding isnt best.

We kept Xander on a light-coloured fleece and it was really helpful as we could see really easily if his wound was weeping or anything as it left marks on the fleece.

That's what I thought, and good idea about light colours, I never thought of that.
