So I bought two 6 week old guinea pigs from this guy who was selling his litter. The problem is that he didn't check the sex of them and it turns out one is a boy and ones a girl. He housed them together. Is it possible she is pregnant? Is that too young of an age to be pregnant? And he had the boy housed with the mom! In fact the mothers son from her previous litter is what produced the babies I have. I told him she's too old to be having so many babies and to be more careful with her. She was over a year. Poor thing.

Young boars can potentially get their mum and sisters pregnant from around 3 weeks of age. Boars should always be seperated from the sows at around 3 weeks sometimes even a little younger.
It is possible the sow is pregnant, please seperate the two pigs and keep a very close eye on your sow. She is too young to have a litter but when this happens there is nothing we can do but watch, wait and hope all goes well.
Sows can produce litters after a year old if they have had pups before.
Please keep us updated with your pigs.

She doesn't look pregnant. I just got her Saturday. She's very skittish though.

She wont "look" pregnant until she has only a few weeks to go. If shes 6 weeks old then its possible he caught her earliest lets say 3 weeks of age then her earliest due date would be the 19th June. So you may have pups mid - end of June.
So for now just keep her on a nice good quality pellet and give her plenty of hay and fresh veggies and ample exercise. Try not to over handle her as shes young she will be skittish and if she is pregnant this could cause complications.
Keep us posted.

Yep sows are pregnant for a long time. between 66 and 72 days. Sometimes longer. The pups will be born "ready to run" so i call it. Hence being inside mum so long.
Good luck and please do keep us posted. She will become visibly rounder as she gets further through the pregnancy.

I hope for your sake that she's not, but chances are she probably is. I rescued 7 pigs that I estimated at 5 weeks old a while ago, two of them were girls and are now starting to show signs of pregnancy. It's heartbreaking because there are so many risks attached to piggie pregnancy, let alone young pregnancies. But I'm sending goodvibes to your little girl that all goes well! In the meantime read up as much as possible, make sure you give her a really decent diet and keep her warm and clean.

She looks like this right now. I haven't seen any movement in her or felt anything when I hold her.

From that pigture she doesnt look pregnant, but as mentioned she could be due earliest mid June so she wont show for a little while yet. The only thing you can do is watch and wait and keep a close eye on her.
