My tiny, little PEW that I posted about has orange urine today. I had him out for floor time and he left orange urine on the tile. He did eat a piece of orange and cantalope yesterday. Could that have caused it or is it blood in the urine?

I know when my piggies are using the tiled bathroom for some free floor time their urine will often turn orange before I pick them up. This is normal. It's just oxidation occurring.

My GPs' urine does sometimes also go interesting colours on different flooring . Keep an eye out though in case he shows any other signs of illness (e.g. squeaking when weeing) that could indicate a bladder issue. Blood in urine usually causes red or pink stains that later turn brown.

As has been suggested, I would monitor your gp to make sure there are no other symptoms. Different foods can make pee turn different colours so don't panic at the first sign of something unusual
