Hi Everyone, my name is Jess and I'm new on here. I was wondering whether you guys could help me out on something I've been worrying about recently... I'm about to get a 6 week old Abyssinian x Teddy sow in a week, before her I had three degus and sadly they all died of pneumonia and upper respiratory infections That was a few months ago now but I'm starting to worry that maybe the disease could still be lingering in my room? Is this possible? I have two hamsters in my room and they aren't affected, but im just worried my baby piggie could catch it. Any advice or information would be brilliant, thanks. Jess.

As its been a few months you have nothing to worry about. Im sure your room has been aired and will be fine. Dont worry.

As Kayleigh said, your new pig should have no problems. Just make sure there are no draughts where your piggy is and the room doesn't get too cold and you should be grand.

Yes you should be fine, although what bedding do you use? It may be the bedding thats too dusty and caused the breathing issues.
