Darwin got neutered today. Vet said that he did very well, and was eating and drinking when I came to pick him up today. The vet did a set of internal dissoluble stitches and glue on the outside to keep the outer incision closed. He is currently in his free play play pen in the living room to heal since his three new housemates are currently in the cage (the sows were separated from him with a divider within the cage, but Finn decided she wanted to be with Darwin, so in the middle of the night, she literally climbed the divider. I found her in his house the next morning. Fingers crossed there was no frisky business going on). I'm attaching some pictures to show the quality work of the vet (I am actually really impressed with his incision and the suturing). Hopefully all will heal well with Darwin and he can be back with his new buddies soon.

Fingers crossed Darwin's recovery goes well! Keep an eye on Finn for the coming weeks. There's a small chance she could be pregnant but hopefully not

I hope he recovers well. Boars tend to be sturdy little things. Just ensure he doesnt jab at the wound or anything.

We are keeping an eye on Finn. All three sows went to a new pet check up, and the vet estimates them at 4 - 5 weeks. I've been reading on pregnancy, in case Finn did get pregnant. I'm hoping its a negative on the pregnancy, but only time will tell. Darwin has been doing really well since the surgery. Eating and drinking normally, bathroom habits are normal. He appears to be doing very well.
