So sooty has been having a few problems with chapped lips. Like dry skin on his bottom lip, I think it's his veggies doing it but not sure what one and it's not really Bad and usually clears up after a day. I read on the internet that if you rub sudocrem onto the lip that will clear it up? I just want to get a Second opinion before trying this.
Thanks :-)

Aslong as its the outer lip i dont see why not. What makes you think his veggies are the problem. Is it a rubbing wound or acidic sore?

It just looks like dry skin, like if we would get on our skin, all scaly and peeling? I thought it was the veggies as he only seems to get if I give him apple, I only give him a slice of apple like 2 or 3 times a month as I know it can cause lip sores... I don't know if there was something else I had given him that would have caused it though?
Anybody have an idea of what it could be?? Also found it on his lips the other day but hadn't given him any apple at all. I thought the other reason could be him biting the bars? He does it when I'm feeding them in the morning and when I'm doing there veggies? Could that be the cause?
I'm not majorly concerned as it usually clears up on it's own after a day or so but would like to know what it is or if there's anything I can do to prevent it?

Hmm could be just general sores. keep an eye on him just to rule out any sort of fungal infection. If it clears up then theres no worries.

Well it comes and goes and it doesn't seem to bother him too much so I'll just keep an eye on it but I'm thinking it's not anything to worry about..
Thanks
