I noticed my one pig(Porkchop) starting to loose hair about two months ago. He had short hair on his front end and very long hair on his back. Over the two months ... he has only a few strands left of long hair. But NO bald spots.(i've checked him over many times) Hes constantly scratching his tummy and sides. Now his next door neighbour(Ozzy) is starting to scratch ! Same thing.... scratching tummy and sides. Ozzy has very long thick hair and i've noticed no bald spots. He sheds alot but he doesnt have the loss of hair like Porkchop does. NOW...... i have my pigs on PINE bedding. Do u think this is contributing to the itchiness and loss of hair? Im prepared to take them to vet..... but curious to know if maybe simply changing the bedding will fix my problem. Anyone else have a similar story or could tell me whats up?

I would treat them with ivermectin as a precaution. It's usually available from petshops, depending on where you live. It's a very simple treatment, just a drop of liquid on the back of the neck and another dose a few weeks later. A lot of people do it routinely to prevent outbreaks so even if your pigs don't have mites, it'll do them no harm.
As for the bedding, could you change for a week or two and see if there is any improvement? Maybe you could change to fleece or carefresh or something like that?

As soon as i notice my pigs scratching more than usual i treat everyone for mites ect. Just to be on the safe side. I tend to treat all my pigs every few months anyways just because i have so many and i bring natural beddings in from various places.
Just out of interest which pine bedding are you using? As iv recently had to do a complete clean out due to mites in a pine bedding i used. I wrote a complaint to the producer and got freebies. (small consolation to the price of treating all pigs and binning the bedding)
All my pigs are 2 weeks into treatment and seem fine. Its very obvious to see mites in my group as i have the himalayans so can see the faeces of the mites very easily.
You will be best treating their entire cages, removing the bedding and just using newspaper or carefresh until your certain what your dealing with.
