Okay so ive been checking sooty everyday since his surgery and his cuts are all healed, but tonight i noticed a little sore, like a little hole? im not sure what to do, his behavior is the same, hes running about and popcorning, so i was thinking i would take him to the vets in the morning where they have an open surgery or should i call the emergency vets? i think its sore when i touch it etc, im worried that it might be a serious abcess but then again it might be just a little sore...
HELP!!! i dont want to lose my little sooty... i will try and post a picture soon to help, but like i say i think hes sore so i dont want to upset him too much.

If it's still very small then he'll probably be okay until the morning, but if you're going to have a sleepless night thinking about it then you could bring him to the emergency vet. Do you know does the emergency vet have a lot of piggy experience?

I'm going to take him in first thing in the morning. He's eating his veggies etc and like you say it's still very small. He doesn't seem too bothered but I want to get it checked to make sure! I know they will probably just give me antibiotics so I'm not going to bother the vet tonight. The emergency vet is the same one that neutered him. They are very good my vet. I couldn't find anything about it on the bet which is annoying but the vet will hopefully give me some more info I'm not completely sure it's an abscess as Its not what I've seen on the net!
Anyway let's hope alls well tomorrow. I will keep you updated!

He's fine! I was worried about nothing vet said it was just a wound from where it was healing.. She said just to keep an eye on it and as long as he's not biting or picking at it it should be fine! :-)
Although sooty is now very very grumpy with me haha he's still in his box all puffed up in a corner but he's taking a slice of carrot fine haha
Sooty doesn't like the vets! Haha

Ha it was the same vet as well he probably remembers her! Haha he's doing fine so I'm not concerned if he had been acting different or strange I would have been more worried but he's been fine. The vet said he's healed really well so that's good :-) I will just keep a wee eye on this sore and maybe give it a little wash every couple of days.
He doesnt seemed phased by it at all haha I'm just a worrier is all! Haha

I have let them sniff each other through her cage and he was really shy kept cuddling into me haha she was fine though... Really nosey! Haha I'll give it another couple of weeks and then put them in the run together during the day for an hour or so then after a couple of weeks of that I will just put them together! I hope it all works out okay but I'm Sure it will :-)

Just under 2 weeks. Don't wanna risk it yet. As Soo is still young I wouldn't want her accidentally getting pregnant!

I would give him another 4 weeks. You can put them cage by cage so they can smell eachother. But i wouldnt risk anything if your sow is still young.

Unfortunately I cant do that with the space but I might try putting them in runs side by side. They are near each other but separate rooms... Lol I leave the door open sometimes and they speak to each other
