Different breeders will say different things but the general age is no younger than 6 months to pair with a boar. This way the sow should deliver around 8 - 9 months old. I wouldnt really like to put a max age to breed a sow as it all depends on the breed, personality and size of the sow you want to breed.
I personally wouldnt pair a sow over 15months old, saying this i know of sows that have been bred later on and been fine and delivered with no issues. The whole pelvic bones fusing is a old wives tale. Complications can arise with any sow being bred. What ever age.
