Okie dokie! So I have a question! I have had Snow paired with Patches for about 2 months and she isn't pregnant. I also had Nala paired with Jun Pyo and she isn't pregnant either. I mean Patches & Jun Pyo don't even mount them! They just sit with each other and eat together, but no rumbling of any sort. I noticed when I first put them together that Jun Pyo & Patches did try to mate with the girls, but the girls would nip at them,so I wonder if that's what made the boys back off? Or is it possible that the male just doesn't like the female or vice versa? I know that females go into heat every two weeks, but it doesn't seem like mine do. Also I recently paired Hermione with Bentley(and I put Anders with them since he was getting into major fights with Wakka),but Bentley is showing 0 interest in her. All he does is sit there with Anders and eat. He rumbled a little when I first put her in and now absolutely nothing. He just sits with her and Anders and they all sleep together. He doesn't even have a reaction to Anders. So long story short I just wanted some feedback as to how I can maybe get the process moving along or should I just give up and separate them? Do you guys know any sure signs that the female or male is interested? When you pair your piggies how long do you keep them together? And when do you know they are pregnant or when to separate them? >.<

You really don't know if your sow is pregnant until you can feel the pups. We leave ours paired for 4-6 weeks just to allow time for the sow to get pregnant. Once we can feel the pups, we separate most definitely (but usually before that--like I said, 4-6 weeks). Unless you keep constant vigil over your pigs, a lot of times the mating goes unnoticed. The best thing to do is mark down the day that you put them together and monitor how long they've been together, etc. Are any of your boars proven (i.e., have they mated successfully before)? Have your females had litters before?
I would say there is a good chance your sows may be pregnant but not far enough along to be able to tell. I've never had to wait that long for a mating to occur, however. Good luck with everything!

Both Snow and Nala have had a litter before, but they were both paired with the same boar and he was 2 years old,so he was pretty huge and seemed to overpower them whereas the males I have them paired with now are the same size and have never bred. Just the females, but whenever I see them try to mate the girls nip at them and run a way. >.<

Iv had a sow paired with a boar for 3 months and still had nothing. Sometimes they just arent in the mood and will take their time. Nature will eventually take its course.
If the boars are proven then it will just take time.
