Afternoon everyone
I just thought id made a post about Godric, He is currently recovering from a fungal infection, commonly known as ringworm. He got a wee patch under his left leg and on his stomach. Both these patches cleared up within days of being treated with daktarin cream. He began to loose fur around his eye, and i had a feeling it was the fungal showing up again (common places are facial and under the legs)
So i applied cream to the area very carefully and left it a few days, applyng the cream and keeping it clean.
With it being his face area he kept scratching at it, making the fungal bleed and cause irriation so i had to take him to the vets to get some septrin, its like bayril just banana flavour (godric hates it)
Hes now been on this for a week and its healing lovely. It looks alot worse than it actually is because its on his poor wee face.
I just thought sharing this would let you guys know that no matter how clean and cared for we keep the pigs things like this do crop up and as annoying as it is, we have to treat it and quickly.
Ill post a picture when he is fully healed and the hairs grown in. (if i reMember)
