When I was giving SubZero her usual check-over I noticed something on her back. It's almost in the middle, near her shoulders. At first I thought it was dirt/poop (she's been sleeping in the poop corner lately) but then I realized it wasn't. Here's the first pic: Then I touched it, not knowing what it was and seeing if it was just poop or something stuck on her, and it opened a bit: I put some water around it, but didn't touch it, to clean it off some. Opened, I'd say it's about 1cm in diameter, 2cm at most. That last pic is upside down, there's something yellow in it too. It's not bleeding, and she didn't like when I touched around it but didn't squirm away badly or squeel or anything. No hair loss or anything. She's not scrathing at it or anything. I checked the others over, they don't have it but I seperated her for now anyway just in case it's something that can be contagious. Should I bring her to the vet? Our vet isn't too familiar with guinea pigs, so I wanted to hear your opinions first. Thanks!

Could be Fungal , or a bite that has scabbed over ? difficult to say? but there looks like there is something going on underneath,
you could prepare a saline solution (salt water 1 t spoon to 1 pint of water ) try gently lifting it with your finger nail and if if comes off easily bathe the aria with the saline .
but your safest bet would be to see a Vet ,
doesn't have to be piggy savy Vet !! any good vet will be able to treat it

It could be several things, a burst absess, a bit wound thats got infected and is now healling or indeed fungal.
I would say a vet visit just to be sure, but if you cant do that, treat for fungal and apply a sudocrem or savalon cream to the wound to prevent infection

Yeah, I thought it looked kinda fungal too. Would treating it for fungal do anything bad if that wasn't what it was?
Also, should I keep her seperated? Navi is still in the extra cage, so SubZero is in a small container, only about 1' x 2', since it's the only thing I have. But I had a spare water bottle that I taped to the wall so she's unhappy but if I do need to keep her seperated then it's perfectly possible.

Seperating isnt needed. I would treat for fungal for a week or so unless it becomes inflammed ect it should be ok. You can also apply a soothing cream to help it heal.

I just realized I forgot to update this. I had been keeping an eye on it and after a week it hadn't gotten worse, but hadn't gotten any better, so I took her to the vet to be safe. Turns out is was an infection, so she gave me medicine for her and she has to take it every 12 hours for 3 weeks. She had a check up a week after she started it and it's healing very nicely, so I'm glad about that. Thanks everyone!
