Expecting Skinny Pig Fiona

Fiona, our REW skinny (werewolf) pig is expecting! She has been paired for quite a while, and we thought she might be sterile (the boar is proven) because she hadn't caught. Lo and behold, I noticed she has gotten quite plump. After observing her tonight, I can already feel and see movement.

However, what has me stumped is that she's not really huge. I expect that she's carrying a very small litter. If I'm already feeling and seeing the movement, she should be 7+ weeks, correct? As I've always had litters of three or more, I don't really know what to expect with a litter of 1 (which is what I'm currently thinking).

Does anyone have experience with a piggie only having 1 pup in a litter? I've heard from many people that they didn't even know their pig was pregnant until she gave birth.

I have isolated Fiona to prepare her for the birth. All input is appreciated!

My sow had 1 and coped very well, no problem with birth or anything

You will be surprised, she could have 2 small pups or even 3! I thought one of my sows was only carrying 1 or 2 and she had 5!! but they were very small.

She looks lovely. Can you feel the pups,legs etc?

I can definitely feel at least one pup. The kicking and movement is very obvious, as well. I know with skinny pigs it's a little different about what we can see because there is no fur to cover the movement, but with my previous skinny sow I began to see the movement around week 7. I guess time will tell! Hopefully all goes smoothly.

We're expecting pups soon! Fiona's pelvis was wide open yesterday and still is today. We're getting the piggie cam set up and will be monitoring her closely. Once I have everything set up, I can provide a link for you all to see!
