So I have only ever had one guinea pig before monday night when I rescued my second. I was holding nina tonight and her back half is a LOT wider then her front half. I went and picked up bliss to check and she is the same from front to end. No part of her is really any wider or more narrow then any other.
Is nina pregnant? The last owner didn't say if she was kept with a male or female and didn't even mention that she was with another pig until we were already picking her up.
According to her Nina is a year old. Isn't that a little old for a guinea pig to be pregnant? Is there anything else it could be?
And above all else is it okay to introduce the two piggies tomorrow as planned if one might be pregnant?

A year is definitely not too old for her to be pregnant. It is possible that she is pregnant is she was housed with males. Pregnant pigs usually take on a "pear shape". Her shape could also be due to bloat, ovarian cysts, or something similar. There is no way to tell if she is pregnant unless you take her for an ultrasound or you begin to feel the pups moving.
Maybe you can post a picture? This would give us a better idea of what you're talking about. Hope all goes well!

As above a year old is a good age to be pregnant asling as shes fit and healthy.
A pictire would help. You can introduce them jist be careful. If sje is pregnant the stress could cause her to abort the young.
It could also be shes just a chinky pig or it could be cysts etc. A vet should be able to determine pregnancy or not.

If you're not sure, just be careful picking her up for a while as that can be dangerous if you don't hold her properly. Watch her closely and see if you can see any movement in her tummy.

I don't have my camera right now but I will post some pics when I get home. I'm hoping that she is just a chunky piggy. XD
I'll just keep an eye on her for now. As soon as we get our first paycheck we are planning to take both the girls to the vet. <3
