Hey guys. So I posted earlier today in regards to bedding (pine vs paper, etc) but after finding out that I actually already had paper, I proceeded to clean her cage. As I opened the lid & began to change it, I realized there were small, tiny bugs in there. Totally freaked me out, especially because she has no skin problems, beautiful coat & doesn't itch herself. I had just changed the litter not too long ago as well, so I'm totally confused. I think they were fleas, but then there were also tiny, tiny, tiny brown bugs. It was totally disgusting, I couldn't believe my eyes. I feel like a horrible owner! I had to go to work so I cleaned out the cage well, placed new litter (fluffy white paper litter) and put her back. I looked her over for a second before putting her in to check her coat but didn't see anything. I'm freaked out! What should I do? I have shampoo but it's just ordinary shampoo, not lice/flea/ivermectin/etc shampoo. I called my pocket pet vet so hopefully she can help me tomorrow but has anyone been through this? Could they be lice? I guess I'm happy to know that she doesn't seem to have any skin problems but what now!
Thanks guys!!

If theu were fleas they would jump and its very unlikely unless you have other pets in the home. If it were lice the pig would have them in their coat.
It sounds like a small black/brown beasties that loves damp dirty bedding. They are harmless but thrive in damp warm conditions.
Just give the cage a good clean and wash down and replace the bedding.
