something is going majorly awry in a really wierd way. NOTHING has changed caging or diet wise... Zara my gorgeous coronet is in the process of littering down has had 2 they look fully formed but theyre half bald like skinny's something is going majorly wierd im worried now as i have another 4 sows ready to litter down. im just wondering if these are prem... i house the sows with the boars until they are evidnetly pregnant then remove the boars. she was paired with a boy in april but showed nothing up until 4 weeks ago. first is tri colour and has a bald bottom, the second is a deep golden and again a bald bum..... never seen anything like this before suggestions and soon one now panic stricken owner whats going on in my herd? ?

Sounds very odd indeed, do you have pictures? IF they were premature good signs of this are, slightly see through ears, very small and the may not be 100% formed.
If its just hairloss, then maybe one of the parents carries something you didnt know about.
Keep an eye on them.

Are both parents coronets? Did the sow deliver after the 10 weeks?

im starting to believe there is a leprechaun in there playing some tricks... ive got rex pigs flying out of smooth coats, abbys from shelties, and now skinnys from a coronet... not to mention the tradgedy with my best sow last night.. so thankful she is picked right back up this afternoon something is definately definately going wierd in there... its jinxed it has to be.. nothing has changed and my methods of breeding not changed in 5 years. i feed the same feed bought from the same wholesaler bed on the same stuff handled the same nothing has changed but the litters are getting wierder by the day.

Are you breeding pigs you have bred? Or are you buying in new stock from reputable breeders?
As there is defo something in the lines that shouldnt be!

They're like half skinnies o.o Skcoronet piggies. I have never seen this before ever! They look like they forgot their pants. xD It's weird, but kinda cool. Like what IF(my imagination is getting worked up a little) they stay like that? Like half & half? You'd have stumbled upon a new breed! I mean I doubt they'd stay like that, but the thought is cool. lol.

here is a picture of her last litter back in december back in the c and c, had a terrible storm and all the piggies ( then 57 of them including pups) had no option but to go in c and c the shed blew down it was only that i was in it at the time i managed to save every one. the one suckling off the rex is actually Zaras and a coronet

With them all being so small I would think that they are just a tad bit premature. But we shall see!

I know Pop Tart has some sheltie in him, his rear end has really long hair. Maybe Baldwins can show up as a bald rear end in a mix?

well i have 2 good piglets 2 not so fantastic, Zara is being the typical Zara and is more interested in where her next pile of greens is coming from the tri colour is small but catching up to the 2 blondies, both looking dark eyed cream now. but sadly little ginger boy doesnt look strong at all. Im doing what i can with top up feeds but I just have that feeling maybe 4 was a big much, and im verging on the side of them being prem now, as they all seem to be growing a bit more fur. they still have completely bald undersides and back legs but there is fur coming on the top of thir backs. It has been the oddest litter i have ever had and considering she had a litter of perfect coronets before, im still baffled. But as any breeder will tell you if you have one that is half the size of the others after 3 days its chances are slim...poor little guy.
