I am Amber and my piggys are Korra and Lady Sylvanas(hubby named her), I call her Lady for short. Korra and Lady popcorned into my life about 24hrs after my lone boar passed away. I was planning on visiting 4 Lil Pigs n Buns that weekend. I was at Petco buying dog food, waiting in line and in front of me was a woman asking Petco to take in her guinea pigs. They refused. After buying my pup's food I found her outside where she just got off the phone and was looking disappointed.
I inquired about her piggys, inspected them and told her I'd give her $40 for both of them. To which her response was "oh wow! You've got a deal! A snake dealer was going to give me $25 for both." My mouth dropped to the floor. Amazed that someone would be so heartless. She told me she bought these girls from a breeder and got them for her children. Well, children aren't interested, but I sure am interested!
They were quite spooky when I got them home. And since they were living in an uber small cage together I plopped them in their new 2X5 C&C. They wuve it. They've been with us since the 17th and have improved quite a bit. Korra is day and night. She tolerates me petting her at random. And she fights minimally when picking her up. Lady is slowly getting better. She is very skittish and spooky. But is making itty bitty improvements daily.
This is their cage. The pigloo is Lady's favorite spot. The hut is Korra's favorite. They snuggle each other and also respect each other's space. I'd say the time they spend together is equal to that they spend alone.
