I don't know what to do, and I don't know whats wrong... She is wet all down her front again. I took her in for it a few months ago and they said she might have diabetes, but then they did another urine test and that one seemed ok. They checked her teeth said she was fine, had a short course of baytril and the drooling stopped.
Now she is at it again, its wet all down her front, a different vet, checked her over checked the teeth again with a long version of what they stick in peoples ears if you get me, he had a really good look and said that they were all fine checked upper lower and back all individually and said they all looked in very good condition. Told me to crush up a children's vitamin c tablet and give them that on a bit of veg and I have been doing that for 2 days and she is still drooling, she stops and starts randomly through the day, It is clear drool, but its slimy so its definitely drool.
she is still eating and pooping and everything, I haven't changed their food, their cage is clean, they are just over 1kg I think (remembering what the vet told me)
please help, I am so worried, I don't know what to do.

Hmm this is very odd. Did the vets have a good look at his molars, not only at their size but also the position of them. Did they mention malocclusion at all? misaligned teeth can cause drooling due to pain etc.
Vit c defiency can cause drooling but usually the pig begins to hop, or become wobbly on their back legs ect first.
Is she playing with the water bottle at all?

Has your vet felt around her jaw and throat? If she has a little cyst around there it could be interfering with her ability to swallow. It's unlikely, but just a thought.

he had a good look at the molars, he said if she is still at it in a few weeks then she may have to be put under for a proper examination but he is almost certain it isn't that and if there is anything it would have to be below the gum line because her teeth are definitely fine. She doesn't play with the bottle but she has always drank in an odd way, she tilts her head to one side, sticks her whole mouth round the spout and sort of sucks it but that's not new and she didn't always drool... I am still hoping that maybe there is a chance it is that and so have bought a different bottle with a different kind of spout like this (but a larger version) www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/accessories/smallpet_water_bottles/14360which at the moment they are both dumbfounded by and haven't figured out how to drink from... I am keeping a close eye on them, they know there is water in there I have showed them as best I can being a human and all, and Freya dripped some water on her nose ... but if they don't figure it out soon I will have to put the other one back in. She is eating her pellets fine, hay disappears fine, I have felt round her mouth and she doesn't flinch at all, so has the vet. She has now.. stopped drooling again, but earlier on she was wet all down her left side (which is the side that is highest when she tilts her head to drink) and down her left chest and foot. I really don't see how it could be vit c deficiency, I give them lots of veg, very mobile, hops in and out of the hammock and in and out of the cage, runs about but .. it can't hurt giving them more, and they both seem to be quite taken with the cucumber slices dipped in crushed up vitamin C tablet... It looks very dramatic when she does it which at the moment is 2 - 4 times a day, I can't figure out what is sparking it off, I am completely dumbfounded, as is my vet I think I am going to have to watch her like a hawk all day tomorrow >.< drooling cannot possibly be nothing can it?

ARGH bad pig BAD PIG!! I have been observing chii lots over the last few days and.... I have noticed something strange, and annoying! She has developed a new and strange fasination with the bottle.. I cant be sure but it looks like she occasionally goes up to the spout, pushes the ball in, lets it run all down her, and then wanders off!?! she is drinking fine too, but just randomly does this, like its a game, she is playing mind games with me! pulling a sicky so she can get extra veg!? I was do worried, but I am so relieved now!! I have moved the bottle and she has stopped doing it, no drool for 2 days... I am sure guinea pigs are much more devious than they let on I wouldn't put it past chii to give mummy a heart attack for more veg and cuddles!! thanks guys, looks like I was freaking out over nothing.
