So glad to find a piggy forum! We have 2 pigs, a 6wk boar named Calvin and a 7 1/2wk sow named Kahlua. I'm really looking forward to learning more about them. Their personalities are really starting to develop. Kahlua loves to yeep when we talk to her from another room, Calvin hasn't started that yet. Pics will be added as soon as I figure out how to downsize them.

Thanks everyone! Haven't used photobucket for a long time, I'll see if I can reMember. Here is Kahlua, she's about 450g. Does that sound good for 7wks? Also what color/type would she be considered?

Oh, she's beautiful! I think her weight sounds good.
Her markings are dutch-type (the patches over the eyes with the white nose, and the coloured bum), so she must have a dutch parent or something. Not sure of the colours though.

Yeah, she's only got a tiny bit of red behind each ear, but the chocolate is gorgeous! And here is Calvin, he's 6wks.

Kahlua is definitely a dutch pig! I have one myself, he has almost the same colors as yours. Your pigs are super cute!! I love the coloring!! Calvin is also has great coloring and is as cute as Kahlua!!!

I'm hoping to eventually breed them. Calvin's litter were Abyss and one crested, all nice colors. Kahlua had a red sister. I don't usually go for pet store pets, which Calvin was and the difference is huge! They are only 9days age difference, but Kahlua yeeps and popcorns, while Calvin is usually hiding in his tube and kind of "purrs" when you hold him.

They are gorgeous. I wouldnt usually suggest breeding pet store pigs as you dont know their parents backgrounds etc.
You have a fair wait before both are at breeding age/weight. Enjoy them when they are so small.
Your sow looks a mismarked dutch.
